The church is not the way to heaven; the church is the sign that points to heaven.

I wouldn’t trust the best fifteen minutes I ever lived to get me into heaven.

Has it ever occurred to you that nothing occurs to God?

Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you’re willing to pay.

God put a cross between you and hell. If you want to go to hell, you will have to crawl over the cross of Jesus.

God grades on the Cross not on the curve.

A faith that hasn’t been tested can’t be trusted.

Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory capacity.

It’s what you sow that multiplies, not what you keep in the barn.

We ought to be living as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back this afternoon.

Sin is not just breaking God’s laws; it is breaking His heart.

It is better to be hated for telling the truth than to be loved for telling a lie. It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated.

When you read the Bible, read for quality not quantity.

The same Jesus Who turned water into wine can transform your home, your life, your family, and your future. He is still in the miracle-working business, and His business is the business of transformation.

When you have His joy in your heart, it doesn’t necessarily mean your pain or hurt will be taken away. It means you’ll be able to bear it.

It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills.

He came the first time to die; He is coming again to raise the dead. When He came the first time, they questioned whether He was King; the next time the world will know that He is King of kings and Lord of lords. The first time He wore a crown of thorns; the next time He will be wearing a crown of glory. The first time He came in poverty; the next time He is coming in power. The first time He had an escort of angels; the next time He will come with ten thousands of His saints. The first time He came in meekness; He is coming again in majesty.

If you have a Bible that’s falling apart, you’ll have a life that’s not.

Do you want to live a supernatural life of victory? The Victory Express runs on two tracks: trust and obey.

Just because it doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense.

You can sing all you want about how you love Jesus, you can have crocodile tears in your eyes, but the consecration that doesn’t reach your purse has not reached your heart.

There was a time when you were not. There never will be a time when you will not be.

The reason I preach the Bible is: first, I’m not smart enough to preach anything else. The Bible is a bottomless well. So I’m not smart enough to preach anything else.

We all have seen Canada Geese fly in their V formation with one leg of the V formation longer than the other leg. Why do they fly in the V formation? The lead goose is making it easier for the other geese who are following his lead. He is moving the wind resistance of the other geese following him. The rest are cruising. But after awhile the lead goose gets tired and drops back and the next goose moves up. Engineers in the wind tunnel experiments have discovered that geese flying in the V formation can fly 72% further than by themselves flying alone. Geese flying in the V formation illustrate the necessity and advantages of practicing both leadership and fellowship.

The key word is surrender. We are to be slaves to the Lord Jesus Christ.

God doesn’t need us to give Him our money. He owns everything. Tithing is God’s way to grow Christians.

It’s a fact of earthly life that when God opens the windows of heaven to bless us, the devil opens the doors of hell to blast us. When God begins moving, the devil fires up all his artillery.

It is not your responsibility to save others…it is THEIR response to His ability.

If you find a reluctancy to go into the presence of God, there may be unconfessed, unrepented sin in your life. Part of your quiet time is to get your heart clean and pure. Each of us needs to take ourselves by the nap of our necks and confess and repent before we come into God’s holy presence to fellowship.

You can’t sweeten the well by painting the pump.

God does not flunk any of His children. He just re-enrolls them.

If Satan can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.
